I find the real mtns to be quite intimidating. Steep and wonderous. Like watching surf on a beach. People have lived in this hard environment for thousands of years. Lots of trade between where Tibet is and the region we are in now.
Wow! Ciel wears a skirt to trek!! Maybe the culture there expects women to wear dresses or skirts? Beautiful mtns and clouds! What an adventure. You both look healthy and happy...the altitude must agree with you. We had a fantastic Indian Summer here...now a bit of rain has come. I have 1/2 cord of oak and fir, 1 cord of madrone, so I'm golden.
